TV - Blurry effect around lines.

I don't know the terms but I'll try to explain it...
You know how when you look at a fake picture (been photo-shopped or something) it has this blurry, distorted effect near boarder lines

Well my TV has that and I'm wondering if it's normal.
Looks great in HD though

And do you think Wii's 480p will get rid of this effect?

Maybe you mean aliasing (jagged lines). Generally, "blur" entails it being smudged, which is actually similar to the effect used to inhibit it (antialiasing). Or, maybe you're talking about poor quality upsampling?
