I dont know, but personally id stay away from half of those.

Samsung, Sony, LG, Toshiba are only brands ill buy personally.

Id have to believe you can find a Samsung or LG or something in 32inch for around that price. I just saw FRYS had a 40" samsung 120hz for $600 only so.. Although I havnt really been looking at 32" prices lately.

Not exactly comforting, but thanks. :D

I guess I'm leaning towards the Newegg Toshiba, though it's 8ms response time... I don't usually play games that require much though, and hopefully that won't affect action movies.

Oooo Just spotted this 28in beauty, but never heard of the brand, I-Inc ?
I realize the Aspect ratio would be a little off.

Never thought I would say this but that dynex BB store brand tv isnt that bad. Saw it at 299 last time I was instore. The one year instore warranty at least means if it blows up this year you can take it to a B&M BB anywhere.

The tosh would be decent at that price as well.

Personally, if you have access to a Costco, Id go there. The thing people forget about Costco, besides their 90 day return policy, is 2 years concierge service. What does that mean to you? 18 months from now something breaks. You call the concierge service, they set up a repair person to come out and take care of it. All free.

That said, they have a Proscan 32" for $150 off at $299.99 right now.

Costco extends manufacture warranty to 2 years

I'm not a Costco member, or near one that I'm aware of. I don't drive. ^^;
The Dynex and other store brands have been tempting because for a similar price you can get like a 37in 1080p.

I'm starting to think I should hold off and save for a 37in 1080p deal, if one could be found for about $400.

I actually have a 37in Toshiba Regza, the Feb. 2008 one, but the screen is cracked and broken, spiderweb lines all over. The sound works, but all I can see is basically white light through the cracks. Kind of cool. XD
How much is replacing the glass/lcd? Is it even possible?

Thanks again everyone.

They started as a bargain brand, but are now respected as a good respected brand. And they, for the most part, use quality panels. For example, I got the 55" LCD a month ago, and it uses a Samsung panel. Good stuff.

Even my 3 year old 42" Vizio plasma uses an LG panel...can see the label through the air vents.

they had the 40" dynex from best buy for 400 bucks once. Wait for that deal again.

That's what I'd do.

Actually TigerDirect is having 15% Bing cashback right now so I'm considering a 32in 1080p Refurbished Vizio from there. :) Anyone bought Refurb from 'em before?

I hate being so indecisive.... but what a sale!!

Worse comes to worse in a year or two I'll move it to the bedroom (I don't have a 2nd TV) and get a bigger newer lcd for the living room...
