The second one is just a clothes steamer... It doesn't actually clean your clothes.

I can tell you the Rotato was as fun as advertised. We did our own version of "will it blend" with that many times.

the razor sharpener thing would be awesome. my blades seems to always go dull after like 2-3 uses. and those blades aren't cheap.

I wished that pasta thing really worked.

I forget what it's called, but like, you're supposed to fill this canister with pasta, add boiling water, and it cooks the pasta quickly/well.

I've heard it's pretty much a POS, though.

The myriad of products sold under the umbrella of "The Ronco Scam-a-matic" have made billions of $$$ for Ron and company...and let's not forget Popiel's Pocket Fisherman...

Try patting the blades dry with a towel or kleenex. Supposedly, water left on razors can cause microscopic rust which dulls the blade. Drying the water off supposedly preserves it.

makes me glad I only have to shave once a month :p

2-3 uses per blade isn't so bad for me when 1 4-pack of blades = 1 year.

So learn to use a straight edge, you little bitch.

Hahahaha sorry. I could not resist. Real talk, a straight edge is the way to go. It takes more time to shave with one but you (I?) get a better shave from it and never have to buy a new razor.

It doesn't cook the pasta any faster than just boiling water in a pot. The only reason it may seem faster is because you're boiling a smaller quantity of water.

I remember my parents actually buying a Rotato. We were snowed in because of a big snowstorm and since we only had an antenna, we watched a lot of informercials.

I think they still have it. It did work pretty well - too bad the cutters wore out and you couldn't find replacements anywhere.

Edit: I think they actually upgraded it and are slinging some version with an electric motor instead of a hand crank.

No, no it wasn't. It was such a pain in the butt and made things take much longer than needed.

http://www.thetobi.com/

any chance anyone can provide testimonials to products i assume are too good to be true?

why does save a blade work at 60Hz? because that is what alternating current runs at in this country.

didn't have a tobi, but i did have a similar steamer thing for clothes, worked really well. probably cost less than one of the tobi's payments, too.

I don't really want to spend 20-30 minutes daily shaving.

from what I've heard, it "works," but the pasta gets all clumped together and is generally pretty meh.
