I was in a wedding back in January. I also had to buy my own tux. This was something that apparently has changed. I asked my Mom if paying for our own tuxes was typical, and she said it wasn't back when she got married.

Were you a groomsman or just one of the guests?

don't see how anyone can justify spending hundreds of dollars for one night of your life..especially if you're a broke high school student.

Spoken like a true geek....

What is so hard to understand about paying for something that you will remember forever? It's only $50-$100.....many high school kids have $50-$100....don't act like they don't.

Tux for graduation- 60 bucks.
Tux for prom- 50 bucks.

Both include shoes. So yeah, I think you are getting ripped off.
