TUV4X with 686B and SB Live 5.1 Bad Idea?

I have read about and run into several problems with 686B Southbridge chips on AMD motherboards when used with Soundblaster soundcards. I am considering putting a SB Live 5.1 OEM on a TUV4X Socket 370 board with a 686B Southbridge. Does anyone know if this is a bad idea? If so, can you recommend another quality, reasonably priced and 5.1 capable sound card. I have the Creative Inspire 4400 4.1 speakers and I want a sound card for them.

Also, if the 2 will cause problems together, does putting the latest VIA 4 in 1 drivers totally fix the problem?

I'm on the 4.31 4in1's on an MSI K7T266 Pro (686B) motherboard and an Sb Live! Value (non-5.1) and they work fine together except for Max Payne. The latest 4in1's would probably fix that, and nothing else has any problems with it (I just use onboard sound for that single game). I have one other system with a 5.1 card and the same motherboard and it works fine with Max Payne even. You almost definitely won't run into a problem, and if you do, the latest 4in1's will probably fix it anyway. On the off-chance that you do have a problem, just use the onboard sound for that one application. The conflict doesn't stop Windows from running, so if there's an app that has a problem with the setup onboard sound will work well enough for that one thing :).
