Do any of you have any requests on tutorials for photoshop or anything?

Post them here, and if I can I will do something up if it's something I can tackle :)

I haven't been able to really do much of anything at the moment but am going to try get some time to do more. I have to see if that video capture thing I used still works under Vista, or that could be interesting.

not a personal request, but a tutorial on fixing camera shake might help people out

This is a rather specific request and something that's not normally very useful since even extreme processing isn't going to give high quality results, but I'd like to know what (if anything) could be done to clean up an image like this one.

This is a photo of my mother-in-law, her sister, and their mother. The person taking the picture didn't use a flash and the camera they used has really poor low light capabilities. It's the only photo we know of taken in the last 10 years that has all three of them and I'd really like to clean it up as much as possible.

I made some attempts but they're mediocre at best (and looks like it's 100 years old) and I'd like to know what processing you would do to try to clean it up more. If I can get it to the point where even a 3x5" print won't look awful, that would be great.

The biggest problem for me is how to get the yellow out of everything without losing detail or what little skin tone there is in the picture. It actually doesn't look too bad when cleaned up and converted to black-and-white, but I'd like to have it in color if possible.

I gave it a shot for you. Not easy as there's alot of noise, but I think it's passable enough for a family album.

tutorial request: masks & layers

:p

I know, that's probably a large topic, but you offered, and I'm curious.

(I'll hold up my end of the deal with a Nikon Lens Guide)

Thanks for giving it a try. Unfortunately, the link isn't working for me. :(

I would like some tutorial for beginners such as myself.

Suggestions:
Intro to SLR
Intro to RAW
Photoshop or Photoshop Elements Basics (redeye removal, basic filters, common fixes)
Adobe Lightroom Workflow

Sorry, stupid imageshack:

That looks pretty decent, actually. Would you mind sharing what you did with it?

I didn't save the psd but if you want I'll make a video to show my workflow when I tackle it again.

Also I hope Odin doesn't mind I've kinda taken over this thread :p, but I made a video for masks and layers. It's fairly basic, but hopefully it helps if you're new to photoshop.

I'd like to see,

1) An effective noise reduction tutorial.
2) Making masks quick and having the edges look good.

You might not need a tutorial, but I kind of want to know about basic workflows. ie, what kind of quick adjustments to make for non-special pictures. Currently, I do vignette/CA adjustments, shadow/highlights, curves for contrast and black/white point, hue/saturation as needed, sharpness, and noise reduction as needed. But I wonder if I'm missing out on anything.

I'm trying to do some sports collages for the first time, and it's not easy. How about a tutorial for that?
