Turtle Beach X41 Headsets PS3 Compatibility?

So I recently purchased the x41 headsets a month ago. they work great on xbox 360 and sound wonderful. i'm thinking of switching over to ps3 b/c of the free online play, built in wifi, and other options. Currently the x41s MIC won't operate on PSN b/c of a different comm system. I've googled and found a few pages that said people found a way around this to use the MIC on PSN. Couldn't get any details on how to do it though. Anyone here have any info on it? If i knew i could do it with the x41s i switch to ps3 but if i can't i don't want to. it would pretty much make the $200 head sets 50% useless on ps3.
 
No, you can use USB for the microphone. This is why USB compatible PS2 headsets are allowed to be used. I don't know about THIS microphone, but you can.
The audio comes through the A/V cables.
