I was hanging out at the local CompUSA Saturday night before they closed and they were already putting up the sale tags for 4/21. I saw the $59.99 sale tag on the Santa Cruz card - regularly $79.99. No rebates involved - instant price reduction.

This may not belong here but since I'm not posting my own thread, I guess it's OK.

I've got a brand new, never been used, OEM Santa Cruz that I'm selling. If anybody wants to make me an offer, PM me. BTW, I've got another in my machine and it's a great card. The vendor wasn't supposed to send the second one, so I got it for free after I disputed the charge with my credit card company. It's just sitting here in a box, so I might as well sell it.

Thanks for the info. I bought this card in March for 79.99. This will be my first AMEX Blue PM.

I ordered mine on Sunday and I called in today to check the status and the CSR said it would ship out with in the next day. :) I finally get to rid myself of Creative. :D I've had nothing but problems with their cards fora while now, but not too may other good choices out there, until now. :)

The versa jack on the Santa Cruz will do digital out. I use my Santa Cruz (awesome card btw)
to feed my digital Cambridge Soundworks speakers just fine.

i've had this card for about a year now and have been very happy with it. i was just wondering if it is still considered one of the top cards on the market or if something new has knocked it down a spot?

Well the Audigy lines would be better in terms of being the "top card". But personally I love my TB Santa Cruz. That versa jack comes in great for my headphones and I've had absolutely no problems with it. Creative is horrible w/ drivers...

How can the Audigy possibly be considered a "top card" when it's horrible with the driver updates? (not to mention a few other problems people have had with this card)
