Turtle Beach P21 Headset popping. Normal?

I just purchased a these. They are specifically made for the PS3. When the volume is up quite a bit and i turn the bass up (maybe 3/4 of the way) the speakers will start to pop.

Now, the sound and bass is not so high that the speakers start to distort, they are clear and i don't think the volume/bass is at an unreasonable level when the popping kicks in.

Anyone else having this problem? I am trying to decide if this is a defect or not so i can return them to Amazon for a new pair.

I have a pair of X41's that I bought a few months ago. A few weeks after I purchased them I noticed a clicking and popping noise every minute or so and it was getting really annoying. What I found to be the problem was the location of my router. I had just moved it upstairs and it was right beside the wireless base. So I moved it about 8 feet away and haven't had any problems since then. The only other thing I could think of would be the mic boom (if yours has one) could be loose or defective. Otherwise, a freshly charged set of batteries is all that's needed for me.

I don't know if this applies to your situation or not, but like I said above, you have to watch out for wireless interference.
