Turtle Beach/Klipsch troubles

I tried running my Klipsch Promedia 5.1 ultras on my Turtle Beach Santa Cruz.
I couldn't get all the channels running, so to make sure it wasn't a problem with the sub, I loaded the drivers for my motherboard's (Asus K8VSE) onboard sound.
I have all channels working and everything is fine, except the soundmax control panel sucks out loud. It doesn't offer any adjustment to speak of, among other things.
I'd really like to get these speakers running properly on the turtle beach.
Any tips? Suggestions?

Bump for resolution/suggestions.
I can post information as necessary.
Maybe if someone would just tell me I'm retarded I'd feel better.

Did you set up the Turtle Beach drivers properly? I'm not familiar with your speakers, but I'm assuming they're analog... The Santa Cruz has some really cool XP drivers and when you choose 5.1, there's a little illustration that tells you where to plug everything... check that and make sure everything is plugged in properly... also, to make sure that it's not a physical problem, try plugging in a pair of headphones or something into each jack while you're playing music. It's most likely a driver/configuration issue though. Hope you figure it out.

I have used both SC and Klipsch..all I can do is state the obvious.
1.Set SC control panel to 5.1
2. Disable on board sound
3.Make sure the 3 jacks are in the right holes (can't tell you how many time I have screwed that up)
4.Uninstall and re-install new drivers.
It is generaly an easy install but you know how that goes!
Good luck
