turnitin.com login?

We should really have a mutual login to make sure our work is legitimate.

I'm making a report on Hess's Law, and Enthlapy. The work is original and my own, but the examples are not (There can only be so many reactions and Heat Formations). I'd like to make sure that it isn't flagged by turnitin for anything like that, so is there a Login I can get, or does anyone know of a login?

Is your teacher or prof. going to turn it in there too? If they are it would come back completely copied.

I'm going go out on a limb and say, that's the reason citation of sources exists. So that if it is flagged and you have proper citations to outside sources you'd be in the clear.

Hey Mark, good to see you again. How was the loo.. 🙂

The thing is, they make no reference as to whether we can cite or not. In the sake of them saying "No citations, EVAR" kind of deal, it's hard to just fudge (incorrect I might add) figures and numbers that are constant.

Would equations and the like be classified as plagerism?

Kobota: Ah, that would make sense, after I submit my report in - then it would join the database. Oh well. 😛

why dont you cover your arse by just citing everthing?
ive had friends sign up for one of those trial accounts and you can submit your data from there. i guess if it did show up again (when prof. looks at it) make sure you submitted/registered using your personal contact information. coming up flagged as yourself isnt the same as copying another person's work, (though i'm sure its looked down upon if you submit the same work for two different classes/professors)

you need to site all equations, all figures, all numbers.. any kind of number that you did not get yourself through testing.. also, you would need the teacher's login to get the plagarism check right? that's what i always thought.. i dunno.. just cite everything.. you have nothing to lose if you do
