turning screen saver on/off for dvd viewing question

is there a shortcut or program that can allow me to turn my screen saver and power settings on and off quickly? I watch a lot of DVD's on my comp so that'd be helpful. i hate going to the settings and having to turn it on/off all the time. i know ffdshow has some option for that, but i use powerdvd.
