Quick question.
I have a Linksys WRT54g that I am trying to make into an access point on a 10.x.x.x network (everything is 10.2. from a previous IT person at my small company that I occasionally help with IT to save money). Currently the linksys router handing out 192.168.x.x IP addresses on the wireless signal and the few wireless printers are invisible to anybody connected through our regular 16-port switches given 10.2 addresses.
Turning off DHCP on the router just makes the entire network inaccessible. Is there an aftermarket firmware that adds AP functionality to non 192.168 addresses?
I'm trying to avoid buying wireless AP but it seems that many home-use routers do not like being on a 10. network.
