Turning on PC remotely

I know that there is a way to use PC remotely (by use, I mean, seeing and manipulating everything in your PC through other PC) But is there any way to turn it on remotely so I don't have to keep the PC turned on everytime in order to be accessed remotely?

Thanks,
William

I believe so... you should ask in the OS forum though as I believe this would be more of a Windows thing than a hardware thing.

Well no, if he wants to turn the computer on remotely, that would imply it is off, and thus Windows wouldn't be loaded up at the time.

But as the above poster mentioned, it has to be supported in your bios

I figured the computer would have to be put in standby or something... forgot about WOL.
