Turning off Windows sound effects.

I'm going to be recording some wecast audio for a few days and I don't want any error beeps or other windows noises to pop up in it, is there a way to leave sound on except for windows effects?

You can go into the Control Panel, then Sound and Audio Devices. Once in there, click on the Sounds tab, then choose No Sounds in the sound scheme drop-down. That should work for ya.
