Turning off voice communication on FB messenger_does it work?

I need to disable voice communication (mic+camera) on my tablet or mobile and enable text chat only. With some special utility? Or in messenger settings? If it's even technically possible...

You should be able to go into app settings under permissions and disable the mic and camera. I believe you could still use speech to text through Gboard app keyboard though, if you even use it.

Now if you try and send an image in FBM I think if camera is turned off it will ask to turn it on. IIRC.
