Is there any easy solution to torn off the trackpad once a mouse is plugged in? It's easy in OS X but I can't find anything like this in Windows XP :-x

You can disable the driver in the Control Panel.

Control Panel where? Device Manager? That isn't a good idea if I leave w/o turning it back on when I take the laptop :-x.

Well, that is true... I wonder how hard it would be to script that sort of event. Or give yourself a keystroke that would invoke it on and off. Something really ridiculous. Like Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Command+8 in OS X. Go ahead, try it, I'll wait.
