Hello, my buddy has the ASUS nV X16 board. I installed a Panaflo 120mm ontop of the heatsink, and used the mobo CPU fan header for power. The problem is, the Panaflo has a 3-pin connector, but uses only 2 pins (there is no speed read); it fits, it spins very good, but everytime he POSTs, the system gives him a series of error beeps to warn him of the "CPU Fan Error.'

How do I turn this off, or should I just plug it in somewhere else?

i dont think it is a good idea to connect a 120mm fan into the mobo's header...it uses more current than the smaller fan such as the "regular/stock cpu fan...connect it into the molex connectors from the PSU...

go into the bios, you might be able to disable the "CPU Fan Error" feature...
