Turning off the "click" on mouse touchpads

I have an Acer netbook (AS1410), and because of its small size it's pretty though to type without touching the touchpad. But the touchpad acts as a "click" of a mouse, and it always changes the position on me while I'm typing.

I could always turn off the touchpad entirely, but is there a way I can just turn off the "click" part of it? I've tried looking everywhere in mouse settings, and in control panel with no luck. Oh yeah, and I'm using win7.

Thanks!

If you're using the synaptics driver (I think that most acer laptops use it), then you can just right click on the touch pad in your system tray, and it should give you an option right there to disable tap to click.
