Turning off Power Meter in Windows XP

Hi,

I was just wondering if there's any way to not have the power meter show up in the system tray for windows xp. I just installed SpeedSwitchXP, which already shows the power left so I don't need the power meter anymore. However, no matter what I do, the power meter seems to always be in the system tray. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Power meter? I think you can turn it off in the power options in the control panel. There's a checkbox in there somewhere.

Sounds like a laptop. The power meter has another function - it also displays whether you are on battery or A/C power.
