Turning off PC's.

Can anyone tell me if it's bad to turn off PC's from the plug when they are still on (but in the 'Please turn off your computer' state). I've got a network of about 15 machines, and it's just so much easier to shut them down, and then flick the main power switch off. Rather than having to go round to each one and turn it off / on.

Thanks.

As long as the computers are shut down, it's fine. Either way you go, you're doing the same thing to them...There's plenty of people around here who think the surge bar power button IS the power button for the computer, after all ;)

It is fine as long as the operating systems are prepared for it. (Correct op shutdown)
