Turning off low disk space warning in Vista

I know it can be done by editing a registry key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER. However, doesn't that:
1) only turn it off for that user and therefore you must do it for each user?
2) Is there any way to turn it off for a specific drive?
3) If I remove the drive letter in Disk Management won't it stop the restore function if I have to do a restore?

It's getting annoying since many machines have little space in the Restore partition and I am constantly having to turn it off.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I saw that in my research, but that only lets you do it globally and you run the risk of crashing your drive if you get pron overload.

I have been just removing the drive letter. I have checked on Dells with Vista and you can still do a restore from the preboot environment. However, I don't know if an HP can launch its restore that way, or from within the Vista or XP environment.
