Turning 21 tomorrow (17th), what should my first (legal) alcoholic beverage be? I'll probably have Fat Tire since we got a lot of that already, but maybe some restaurant will give me a freebie for my B-day (do most places do that?). So If I end up drinking something besides fat tire, what should I have?

In other news, I can't wait to gamble :D

Get two shot glasses. One with Bailey's Irish Cream. And the other with lime juice. Take both shots and swish it in your mouth.

K I turned 21 on the 10th of Nov so last weekend. Heres a pointer. If you go to a house party for any part of it what ever you do dont drink anything red. Atleast 2 of my shots were pure hot sauce and one was robatussen (holy hell I spelled that wrong). GET PICTURES! I dont remember anything after 7pm that night (started drinking at 2pm) so get pictures. If I didnt have them I wouldnt know half the ****** I did.

One bit of advice from an old dude....

Keep the drinking and the gambling separate. ;)

You go to the casino and start drinking and you will lose. (why do you think Vegas and decent casinos have free booze, lol?)

I recommend getting drunk out of your mind on your birthday and then heading to the casino the next day all hungover(with no drinking) to cheer you up. :D

I can't really tell the joke replies from the real ones :p - I don't know all the different varieties of booze. Something more common would be best probably, If I'm going to get a freebie.

Drink whatever you feel like, dude. Your tastes will start to form after a while, I think, because so much liquor tastes like crap the first time you try it. I love Scotch, but the first few times I tried it I hated it. The same for gin and vodka.

Try a variety of drinks and don't spend too much money. You don't need to try Johnnie Walker Blue Label on your first night since, no offense, the relative quality of JWBL will most likely be lost and your appreciation for it over JWRL and other lesser scotches will be lessened.

How about a Yard glass!

It is a popular tradition to receive a yard glass as a gift for coming of age celebrations on one's 21st birthday in Australia as well as in New Zealand, where it is often referred to as "doing a yardy"

Oddly enough, I turn 22 tomorrow (the 17th). I'll be drinking rum and coke while waiting for my PS3 hehe...
