Mine is still stowed away in the closet, where ironicly, is where the attic access is, and where I go to reset mouse traps. Speaking of which, I have not caught a mouse in those traps all winter. I still have an alarm for #2 but that one seems to have a bad contact or something, I'd have to check it out further some day, but those traps are kind of gross to work with now, there's dried blood and guts all over. Probably disease central.

Today I might have to break mine out. It was 71F when I left the house this morning, and I can only imagine it went up from there.

I've always wondered. That mouse popping out of AC strictly an ATOT original meme?

It isn't even warm in IL yet. I haven't even removed the cover from mine or connected the disconnects/breaker.

Today is really the first nice day we've had and it hasn't even broken 20 degrees Celsius yet. AC won't be going on for a while yet. Only once we start getting that humid weather. I don't mind the heat but the humidity kills me.

It was 89 today in the north burbs. But, it hadn't been the least bit warm until today.

Yeah it was around 90 in the Loop today but the humidity is low so it feels pretty good. It is a little cooler at home around 88.

I'll save the AC for the 90-95 + 95% humidity that will being showing its head in not that long.

I'm ready for winter again. Work outside mostly. Cold feels good, just throw on some more clothes if needed. Nothing I can do about the heat. Ain't even hot yet, think it hit 86 today. Summer is going to suck.

"ironicly" is spelled wrong and doesn't mean what you think it does.

You missed the whole mouse and air conditioner thing.

My AC is stored near mouse traps. Mice and AC units kinda go hand and hand here. Hence, it's ironic that it's stored where the traps are.

Do yourself a favor and hook up a wet/dry vac to the condensate drain line and suck it for about 10 minutes, this will ensure that the line remains open and not get clogged up with algae, I do it every spring.

I just did the conversion and that comes up to 29C. That is insane hot. D: Can't imagine letting it get that hot in my house.

it's not that bad, you can get used to it quite quickly. I'd say that is definitely at the upper limits of my level of tolerance though.

sleeping is a totally different story though :)

I argue with my wife though about using the attic fan, she wants it to run all night while she sleeps. I think it uses more electricity then the A/C, but can't confirm it.

70F outside = 80F inside

I can run that thing for hours + hours and it may drop to 79...but I need to produce the scientific results :)
