A while back, i changed some settings on my laptop, since I had no battery, and I made it so that if the power unplugs, it wont check for a battery it will just shut off. Now i have a battery, and if i pull the AC power out, it shuts off.... Any idea how to turn it back on? Im running win95 on the laptop.
thanks

Try going into the BIOS setup and check all the power management settings. The settings should be in there unless you changed something through the OS.

BTW, what kind of laptop and OS?

That setting is in the display control panel applet under screen saver. In 2000 the button is called power. I think it is called settings? in 9x. Look in the tabs in the appearing window.

Nec Versa 75mhz (oh ya baby!)
Windows 95. I will try that tomorow... unless i can do it through pc anywhere.. ill try...

Did you click the settings button on the SS tab? If you did, did you check out the advanced tab? What options do you have on the advanced tab?

If you don't have any references to battery option there I'm thinking you might have it setup as desktop instead of laptop.
