I always just use VNC to control my MBP when hooked to the HDTV.. buut.

Been using screen sharing to control my mini from my macbook

Boxee Remote/Air Mouse w/ iPhone to supplement that.

I should have specified, because I usually use VNC to control the machine hooked to the TV I can use a web browser on the local machine itself, not the remoted machine. The web browser makes it much easier to navigate from distances.

eh do not like the hulu desktop app AT ALL, but if all you have is a remote I guess it works...

I would suggest dedicating as much of the HD as possible to Windows 7 and using MCE.

I prefer Plex to Boxee.. True Fullscreen for the win. 🙂
