I don't think the Kinect "experience" will ruin this game. It is a racer and I doubt it is going to change to some kind of flail around "sim".

A Microsoft spokesman has confirmed that Kinect will be part of Forza 4 but it won't be part of the core experience. So far they will only confirm the ability to use Kinect to look in and around the cars.

That could be very cool.

Remember Gran Turismo had a car wash? Well, with FM4 and Kinect you actually have to clean the cars yourself!

GET TO WORK!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if head tracking was included as well.

Still don't understand how that would work with a racing game. Do you turn your head slightly to one side or the other while still looking at the screen?

Same with Kinect, I just don't understand how they could get it to work in a way that is at all intuitive. I guess we'll see.

Yeah, head tracking has always baffled me, maybe it takes only very small movements to move the screen, but that would require a REALLY precise/well callibrated device (which the Kinect isn't).

I had the same problem with head-tracking for GT5. It is counter-intuitive to look toward the left like you're looking at your side mirror but then cut your eyes to the right to look toward the screen. Works best in multi-monitor setups but that's probably much less than 1% of the player population for these games (pulled that number out of my arse).

So, it ends up mostly coming across as a bullet point than a useful feature.

I can't wait, I love the forza series. I like GT as well and GT5 is a good game but busted in many respects and they should be ashamed that it's as unfinished as it is for as long as they took getting it out.

I really doubt it's gonna be a big seller, it couldn't catch up to GT4(10m) and GT3(15m) all this time and i think GT5 has already moved 2.9 million units in less than 2 weeks compared to forza 3's 3.9m all time.

Can't speak for quality considering i only played it once.

It'll be nice for the folks with 360s to have a newer racing game though.

How many of those 2.9 million buyers bought their PS3 over the last couple years SPECIFICALLY for GT5? And have suffered through waiting for it without any real viable other options for racing sims?

Yeah...
