well at the begining (a few months ago), i followed the instructions and did "flashrom -s 0 backup.bin" to make a backup so i assume the backup.bin file is my backup...

You assume! Can you plz check the name file correctly.

I have 2 bin files on my floppy backup.bin and x800xt.bin :)

So you're saying that 'flashrom -p 0 backup.rom' doesn't work, ooffffffffffff ok hmmmm...
Have you tried the bios file in the site I linked for you?

to force it and it seems to work, i reinstalled the drivers BUT, when i check in ati tool, it says that i still have 16 active pipelines :p

Hello all, I have recently flashed to x800xt non PE edition from a Sapphire Radeon x800pro 25MB card with VIVO and it also had GC-16 on the memory modules whitch indicates that the memory was 1.6ns memory by samsung. Why is it that it still says that i have 12 pipes in ATItool?

Never mind. I realized that i needed to use the modified verson of the flashrom. Becuase if you just use the flashrom that you download from where ever it, you will see that even if you flash from x800pro 256 with vivo and 1.6nm memory timings. It will still only have 12 pipes beacuase the flashrom will not write that onto the the flashROM on the card cause that is how the card was made, and its some kind of special safety feature. So those of you who have not been able to get 16 pipes from 12 and your card has the yellow CD connector, and it has the samsung GC-16 memory. Then you should try this, i can promise you that it will make a difference.
Here you go: http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overclocking/vidcard/100 go to this address and read the whole thing there. It should help thos of you that are having problems unlocking the other 4 pipes. Enjoy and report back to here when you have suceeded.

Hi all.
Im new here so please be gentle.
Just one question. Is it possibe to flash my AIW X800XT to a AIW X800XTPE without messing up the AIW features. The card can do 520/560, but I would like to have in the bios rather than O/C it manualy all the time.

Thanks
