Is it a VIVO version?

No, it is not, but im planning to do the hard mod asap. its just a plain ATi X800pro retail, now ive been testing its memory so far it can handle 1140.

I have byed a gecube X800 Pro Vivo and i used to flash it to X800 XT PE , the flash works great but when i reboot en windows is started then i run atitool for looking if the pipes are unlocked the are unlocked to 16 pipes.

But when i see the cube for artifacts i see nothing else then squares . I tryed then the normal flash (X800 XT) But still i get it.Can somebody help me what to do,Please.

Some X800 Pro cards have 16 pipelines by default (there's no need for a mod) so check this using ATI tool, GeCube X800 Pro VIVO is one of these cards. To get it to X800 XT performance all you need to do is overclock, it's recommended to get an ATI Silencer 4 from Arctic for better cooling.

Just for your information, the 0.0.23 version of AtiTool seems to be stuffed. I upgraded to that and the 'Scan for Artifacts' was showing major problems, like all yellow etc. Then I put it back to 0.0.22 version and it was back to normal.

So try it with AtiTool 0.0.22 until they fix it.

First of all thx for the fast replay.

I forgot to tell that the artifact don't only show up in atitool but also in Anti Control center if i open 3D.

I tryid also opening Aquamark 3d , The menus from it are good , but the test itself are full with artifact. So Would it be possible that there are broken Pipelines on my card that show those artifact, and can i fix it.When overclocked i can see overdrive in control center end the temp is 43.So no to hot i think so it's not a colling problem.

Ore must i use a newer bios version, the ones i tryid are 1 year older then my card.
On the men from my card is also a number just above the gc16 i have 434,i saw on other card they have other numbers.

So please help me,ore elso i buy a real XT PE,and my wife will kille me then :).

What does AtiTool say the speed is running at? 520core/560mem? If it's at that, try clocking it back to 500/500 using AtiTool and check for artifacts. If still artifacting, clock it back to your cards default speed which is 475/450 I think. If it is not artifacting now then it may have just been the core & memory being overclocked too high, so now you have to test and find out what your card is capable of.

If it still artifacting after lowering the core & memory speeds then the extra 4 pipelines might not be good. So follow the instructions in the thread to flash it back to the backup you made.

Basically a process of elimination. :)

yes tryid that also, i even tryid the x800 pro vivo 16p bios. And still have artifact. So the problem is broken pipelines.I have flashed it back now to original bios and everything is back normal. No artifact.Good performance.

So my gecube x800 pro vivo is for sale now,new card x800 XTPE is ordered.

Try to find one in here, if you can't find one just oc it to the PE specs.

Sorry if im bringing this back from the dead, but do all x800 pro vivos work for this? Someone in another thread said that the newer ones were laser cut, and will no longer work. Newegg has them for 279.99 shipped, so I'm curious :)
Thanks

So, since the Sapphire isn't on that list, I'm pretty good to go? Anyone here with that exact same card? :)

Awesome... the one from newegg looks different, different PCB color and everything, should that be a problem? Sorry for the stupid questions, it's just that this is around the same price as an x800XL, and I'm kind of torn between the two!

Someone else on this forum said, "I read a report that all Sapphires and BBAs will not be able to mod without a hard mod."
Any validity in this statement? I know that Azsen has a Sapphire, but I don't know about the new ones.

For me i had a gecube X800 pro vivo, with broken pipelines, i used all bios but non of them worked fine,if you have broken pipelines then it's not possible to flash your x800 pro vivo to a x800 xt pe.
