Ugh...on top of my car having problems with the water pump, now my turn signals don't work. The level works as you'd expect, the 4-ways work perfectly, the fuse for the turn signals is good, but they don't come on. Inside or out. Any idea what could cause that? (1994 Pontiac Grand AM SE 4 cylinder automatic)

Neither of them? If it is only one of them, you probably got one blown light and that is why it doesn't blink. Rareity for two to blow out together. Could be the actual switch in the column. I would have someone stand outside of the car and check the front and back lights to see if it even turns on when you turn on signal - that may help you determine if it is a light out or not. hope this helps.

Well I know the lights themselves are good, cuz the 4-way hazard lights still work....stupid thing lol I've only had it 3 months, I should return it to the dealer and trade it for the Berreta they had for the same price :) My sound system and extended warrenty would make up for the extra miles I put on :)

Bingo. (Or the flasher unit, depending on which type it uses.)

The 4-ways and turn signals use separate relays/flasher units.

4 ways? is that another term for the emergency blinkers? if it is, my car (Acura Integra) uses the same relay for both the turn signals and the hazards... I remember back in my riceboy days one of my friends took out the relay and changed a resistor to a variable 10k pot... it was a dial that changed the resistance and depending on the resistance the lights would blink faster or slower, and that included the hazards. It was kinda neat having hyperblinking hazards (at least I thought it was kinda neat back in hs :p )

I agree that your Integra does. But his Grand Am doesn't. :)

And actually, the one in your Integra is one part, but consists of two separate circuits.
