I was driving around my neighborhood tonight after working, and found a spot about 2 blocks away. there's a car in the street double-parked and a bit in front of the space, but they have their 4-ways on, which on a stopped car, is the universal signal for "I'm double parked but I'll brb."

so I slide in, park, and as soon as I get out of my car, this lady in the car starts yelling at me, accusing me of stealing her space.

wtf.

maybe if you had used your f'ing right turn signal to indicate that you were going to parallel park into this spot, I'd have driven around you and found something else. and maybe if she wasn't driving some monster car SUV, she'd have been able to pull right into the space like I did.

I did 🙂 I just shouted back "use your fvcking turn signals next time" and walked away.

just kinda peeves me that someone would be pissed at me for their own stupidity.

I would've thought the spot was free to be taken also... but if someone confronts you about it, you never leave your car there... people can get creative with it... you can wait till they leave, then leave yourself.
