Turn on XMP Profile when testing?

Synomenon

Lifer
When testing my RAM with Memtest86+ or HCI Memtest, should I enable / turn on my RAM's XMP profile in the BIOS?

Ok, turned XMP on and there's another setting in the BIOS for the RAM that let's you choose standard, turbo or extreme. It's called "Performance Enhance" and I set that to extreme.

Started Memtest86+ 5 minutes ago. Memtest shows:
Settings: RAM: 646MHz (DDR3-1293) / CAS: 8-8-8-23

The specs. for this RAM from Kingston's site:
DDR3-1600 / CAS: 9-9-9-27

I don't see any changes in the info. Memtest shows when I change "Performance Enhance" from Standard to Turbo to Extreme.

Anyone know why Memtest is showing it as DDR3-1293?

Ok, so I started testing my RAM with HCI Memtest Deluxe (the bootable DOS version) before posting this thread so I ended up testing it for 32 hours w/o the XMP profile enabled and the "Performance Enhance" setting set to "Standard".

I just finished testing my RAM with the newest version of Memtest86+. The XMP profile was enabled and "Performance Enhance" was set to "Extreme". I let Memtest86+ run for 30 hours, 30 minutes. 13 passes, 0 errors.

I guess my 16GB DDR3-1600 HyperX RAM is good.

Just have to test it in Windows now with the Windows version of HCI Memtest Deluxe.
