turn off the code that won't send the rest of the page until I've loaded the ads.

please.

ATF's servers are fast but the ad servers are not.
There also appears to be a new delay that wasn't there before between when the ad has finished loading, and when the rest of the page begins to load.

it's been doing this for a couple days now for me. It's definitely the ads' servers it is trying to load. And since the ads are up top...

... and, on cue, it's getting worse. Often only the ad loads now, and I have to hit the back button to reload the page.

I know you guys need the ad money, and I don't mind reading the ads (I've actually bought stuff off of ads I've seen here). But it is getting a little annoying.

are you on google's DNS? 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
I haven't changed mine yet, don't know what Comcast's is.
Today it's been pretty bad.

The add servers have ground me to a halt several times this evening. Twice I had to reload the page because they stalled out completely.

I think I have the same issue, it has become really bad the past week.

It loads everything to the horizontal add frame and nothing after it. Some of the worst ones are Intel and some of the T-mobile adds.

It happens on the main site, DailyTech and the forums. My only way around it is to refresh the page. Sometimes one is enough, sometimes 20+ and it still does not load. The add loads instantly, and then just stops.

This happens in IE8 Firefox 5 and Chrome so it is not a browser issue.

me too, the adds stall out the whole page for me at least a few times a day. Its annoying ,why dont they flip it so adds load LAST. seems like a simple enough fix.
