Is there a way to turn off the shared calendar update notifications?

They keep bombarding us on all 6 iOS devices and 4 Macs!

Open Calendar -> Preferences -> Alerts -> select iCloud in dropdown -> uncheck 'Turn off shared messages in Notification Center'
