Turn Off Hard Disk

imo, i think it can be hard ont he drive spinning up and down a lot . . i like to keep mine ON . . but maybe for when the drive isnt being used for a few hrs (over night, during the day...etc) it may be a good idea....but i always have d/ls going so it be kinda pointless for me . .
 
well, since your driva has little to no friction in it's case, a short setting here (less than 1 hr) will shorten the motor life span (accellerating is teh hardest) and will probably also increase yer energy usage. so I'd reccommend a long timeout to prevent shutting it down when it is not needed.
