Turn Linksys WAP11 v2.2 into bridge?

Hi all,

I just got a Linksys WRT54G wireless router to replace my current wired router/ wireless access point combo. I'd now like to use my WAP11 as a bridge, connecting a switch on another floor to the WRT54G network.

I've seen lots of stuff about hacking the WAP11 with a dlink firmware, but I'm not really sure if what I want to do can be done. Any insights/experiences?

I think there is the firmware change that allows the WRT54G to be a bridge.
Check out www.seattlewireless.net or look for the Sveasoft firmware.
