Turn down the "OC"...it's wife's computer now...

When I get the new rig within the month wife gets my Celeron 633 oc'd to @ 900 (slotket) on the BH-6 MB...

She will be doing word processing and web stuff only.

How do I back off the OC to simply run it at 633 ? Only have to change settings in the Bios, or are there physical jumper settings on the slotket itself which I have to change?

Take me thru it, step by step please if you would...

Thx for help...

Go to your BIOS.........then....Click "UNDO".....and continue clicking it till you cant click it anymore (just like in any word processor). It should be back to its original settings then 😉 😉 😉

LOL..........just undo all the steps that you did while overclocking......set the FSB to default (isnt is 66 Mhz for an old celly ? )
i guess so.....your CPU multiplier must be 9.0...so:

9.0 x 66 Mhz (default FSB) = 594 Mhz ~ 600 Mhz (original settings)
you probably overclocked your FSB to 100 Mhz, so 9.0 x 100 = 900 Mhz = your current overclocked computer.

Just setup the FSB on your motherboard to 66 Mhz and it should be fine.....but if it is running fine at 900 Mhz (overclocked), why switch back to lower speeds ? Just let it remain at 900 Mhz..........("Dont fix it until it broke").
Give your wife some extra speed and she will love you even more 😉

Thanks

i completely agree 😀

Hey, thx guys...

Just thought that in case the fan failed I'd have a dead cpu/MB...and why take the chance if she doesn't have a "need for speed" anyway... she doesn't play Quake 3 etc... !!
