Posting in OT because this isn't console or PC gamig, so....

Been looking for a decent Turn Based strategy game for my phone/tablet. Been playing Landrule, which is basicaly risk, and it's nice because the game creator can specify a "shot clock" length from 10 minutes to 24 hours (maybe more?) so you can play at your leisure, and not have to dedicate a block of time to play a game (think kids, work, etc) which is what I am looking for.

Problem is I'm bored with it after just a few days. Seems as though too much luck involved, a guy who gets a good board placement to start the game can quickly gain enough momentum to just steamroll everyone. Vey rarely can you get into a good back and forth game.

Are there any other good TBS games you guys have played? Seems as though a lot are not free.

Oops! moved this without realizing it was an old thread. I doubt Train is still looking for a game.

Here are some of the best Android strategy games, in my opinion:

10. Plague, Inc.
9. Frozen Synapse
8. Triple Town
7. rymdkapsel
6. Anomaly 2
5. Out There
4. Plants vs. Zombies 2
3. Skulls of the Shogun
2. Kingdom Rush Frontiers
1. XCOM: Enemy Unknown

Hope it helps!

What about heroes vs castles?

Its a free game. You have to protect your castle from the undead.

Front Wars is an Advance Wars clone for Android/iOS. It's a war-themed TBS game so I'm not sure if its your cup of tea or not. I loved Advance Wars, though, so I may have to buy this one.
