RONKONKOMA, N.Y. -- A Long Island woman was critically injured after a 20-pound turkey smashed through the windshield of her moving car, police said.

The incident happened at about 12:40 a.m. Saturday, when the turkey was tossed out the window of an oncoming car on Portion Road in Ronkonkoma, Suffolk County police said.

A passenger in the woman's car took hold of the steering wheel and guided the car to the side of the road, police said. The woman, who is 44 and lives in Lake Ronkonkoma, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.

Police said a group of teenagers using a stolen credit card bought the turkey at Waldbaum's supermarket on Portion Road earlier that night.

They were being sought for questioning.

Turkeys can't fly sh!t dip.

And tell that to the turkey that ran into my car as I was driving down the road. Yes, a real life turkey flew right into my windshield last year. Didn't do any damage and I think he lived, but he sure was flying before and after he hit me!

And those kids should be fed to lions, alive.

This 'no cruel and unusual punishment' thing has gotta go. People like those kids should be tortured.

Check out my post about 2 posts above yours. :)

It was called TURKEYS AWAY!!!

ANd it was not Les Ness man who did it. He was the remote reporter reporting on it. Johny Fever and Venus Flytrap were the 2 DJs who tossed the turkeys out of the helicopter.

After it was over, they showed back up to the office covered in turkey feathers, looking like they had been through hell, and all Johnny could say was " We thought turkeys could fly, they are birds after all."
