Turion X2...when is it going to be in laptops?

When will the Turion X2 be out in laptops...if its not already? What will be the big differences vs. the centrion Dual core. Is there anything great about it besides 64 bit technology? Thanks for your help, I'm looking for a student/gaming laptop, and hoping that the turion will do the trick.

it is already announced/released, i'm not in the market myself, but i believe MSI, Acer, and maybe Asus have working versions already, either for sale now or very shortly
these chips look pretty competitive
but i would wait some time for more options to hit the shelves personally maybe another month or more

will the X2 be a good chip, and worth it over the centrino duo. I realize that the battery life will be less, but hoping that with 64 bit technology, and more power it will be a better chip..is this all correct?

I think AMD said something like the X2 is a great competitor against the Core Duo in the price area, but they didn't say much about the comparative performance. We'll see once there are retail X2 notebooks around.

I emailed ViciousPC.com about this issue.

They replied and said they would not be offering "Turion x2" CPU's in their notebooks until July. I'm looking for the same thing but with a 19" Screen and SLI 7900gtx.

I assume they will be implementing it in all of the models.

Wow, ToySoldier! It's great that a person with just a few posts, all or most on the interesting subject of ViciousPC, knows so much about ViciousPC. You're a ViciousPC marketer's dream!

I was getting tired of people alway's mentioning Alienware.. Dell... HP...

Just getting the word out from what one particular company replied back to me. I'm looking to spend $4,000 on a new notebook in 3-4 months. ViciousPC was only one that gave me a straight answer.
