Which CPU is better w/games?

That's more of a laptop specific question...the CPUs are about the same.

Laptop Logic review of Dothan vs. Turion.

It's a pretty close battle, although the Turion seems to be ever so slightly better for games.

If there were two laptops of the same specs except CPU, i'd likely go with the Turion, just for 64-bit.

Really though, video card is the most important factor.

fatty this is unlike you to ask what is better between the two CPU's

Usually in your eyes the Dothan ?Intel? is better no matter what ;)

I would wait and see what becomes of yonah before you delve into what would seem ?soon to be old technology? ;)

In that laptoplogic review the one advantage Dothan did have was battery life under load - this means if you're looking to game while not plugged in you may want to consider the Dothan. Although, to be fair with a loaded cpu and (decently specced) loaded gpu you'll be lucky to see too much battery life with the Dothan anyway.

Because it's the most thorough and fair review we've seen so far...

QFT

The big difference is price. My son got his Compaq 2410US for $750 AR, and the best we could find in a comparable Pentium-M was $1100.
