Can anyone (preferably with firsthand experience with a Turion-based lappy) tell me what impact the MT makes on battery performance compared an equally clocked ML? I've looked at a few different articles that have said that differences between the two are somewhere around 15 min. or so and didn't believe it. My Acer right now is running on an ML-30 (1.6ghz at default voltage) and gets about 3.25 hours on the average and wanted to see what an MT would do this thing. Thanks!

They both consume the same power at idle, but the MT just consumes less when maxed out. So if your laptop isn't doing very much cpu intensive operations then the difference in battery life will be minimal.

Probably better to try to do what Ionizer said and use one of the software programs out there to undervolt your CPU. The MT and ML are the exact same processor. It's just that the MT has been tested / approved to run at a lower voltage thus consuming less power.

Also, CPU is just a small part of the equation when it comes to power use. Your screen, chipset, GPU etc all consume much more power than the CPU.
