Turbotax printed out my state saying I'm deceased?

As message title and sumamry say. Apparently I'm dead.

I request anyone from CT using Turbo Tax to tell me what their CT-1040 looks like. Next to my name and my wife's there is a bullet that says deceased?

Anyone?

Wow .....

Wow, the Turbo Tax forum actually works!

CT ... .deceased is normal?

OK, I've got good news, you're not dead.

On the CT-1040 printout, the word Deceased appears to the right of each taxpayer's name, but the empty checkboxes don't print with it, so it looks as though each taxpayer is "deceased". (If you look at the form onscreen in the desktop product, you'll see the empty checkboxes).

Ideally, the field should say Check if deceased (or print with the empty checkbox) but I'm not sure how much leeway we have with this form since it was redesigned to be scannable last year. But I'll put in an enhancement request, and we'll also create a knowledgebase article since this can be confusing (if not downright alarming).

Bottom line is, unless there's an X next to Deceased, you are not treated as a deceased filer for taxation purposes. Hope this helps.
