I find it very hard to believe he can run a 6s quarter unless he's on alcohol or some other sort of funny fuel.

while a 106mm turbo is massive, that et is amazing.

what do NHRA drag cars run?

Not hard to believe at all. In the NMRA Mustangs in the pro 5.0 catagory run mid 6's without alcohol. In the Super Street Outlaw class they run mid 8's on a 10.5 in tire. All the turbo guys are easily boosting 30lbs and are all in the 1200hp+ They are using very high octane but they are not alcohol dragsters.

NHRA Top fuel run 5's. These guys consider mid to high 6's bad runs.

That doesn't tell you anything. How much power, what engine, displacement, etc.

From the sound, I think that it has rear mounted turbos, so I wanna find out.

Yup. Pro stock drivers shift three or four times in 6 seconds. Some use a ratchet shifter, others use lencos, it all depends on the driver. They stopped allowing air shifters to make the class more driver oriented and fun. Everyone loves the rule, w/o it, if you don't use air shifters you lose.

If it hangs more than 3' out, he has to put a red flag on it. But other than that, there's no laws against it.
