Do these online tax services allow you to take credits during the process? Like, I plan to use the Lifetime Learning Credit from school last year and I think I get some break for paying interest on my student loans. Does the process allow you to make these adjustments or is it strictly for 1040 and 1040EZ?

Are any of you BIG auction resellers filling out a federal 'schedule c' for direct sales?

p.s. am i seeing things, or are the 'view profile' 'print thread' icons in the upper right at times switched to a scroll down box, then back to icons again?

This is a great deal, and a great site. I love the dynamic refund/payment counter up in the top righthand corner... I was mostly done when I realized it was showing my refund - $1546... It would have been cool to watch how the number went up or down depending on what I was filling in though. It cost me $14.95 to file electronically, and have the refund direct deposited. I don't see anyone else reporting that they paid the same fee--is it different for everybody?

I did mine and it was free. They didn't ask for any credit card information or so. Oh well, I don't mind paying 7 dollars anyways.
Nice find. Bump to others.

I ended up paying $14.95 for Fed and $7.99 for State. Oh well, better than going out and buying the program. Good luck if you get your's free, but it's a good deal either way.

Someone already mentioned it, but hdvestonline.com is a great tax site. Walks you through preparing your return, and files both state and federal for FREE! No fee, no nothing.

Can't beat it.
