Turbo Tax MultiState?

MultiState version?

does that mean i can buy this and do multiple states instead of buying separate states? Amazon isn't clear

(i lived in 2 states last year, so have to do 2 state returns.)

Quoted from a consumer review (same Amazon page) -
"A word of caution, however: Although it is labeled "multistate" you actually only get to use it for one start for the license fee; if you want more than one state you will need to call Intuit, pay another fee, and they'll give you a code for the next state."

You are SOL.

The program allows you to install only one state.

When I tried to do this in 2001 for two states, it would not handle the situation.
ie. If you pay taxes within two states, you can not use it.🙁

I never called their Help desk to see if there was a work around.
Had to do the state filings by hand.

Uninstalling the state will not allow you to re-install with a different state. - Something gets into the registry and/or a file

I have gotten around that situation by Ghosting the HD and installing the state copy for the one I wanted to use. I did not feel like tearing into the registry to find the problem or due file searches including hidden files.

I do the taxes for family members who live in different tax states.

A word of caution, however: Although it is labeled "multistate" you actually only get to use it for one start for the license fee; if you want more than one state you will need to call Intuit, pay another fee, and they'll give you a code for the next state.

Go check out H&R's product in this case. BTW why is it not called Kiplinger's Taxcut now? Kiplinger =! H&R?
