Where can I download a copy of this? I have a friends programming book from college that teaches OOP using pascal, but I can't find the development environment. Help!!

Hmm, Pascal is a language that isn't used much anymore. If you do a Google search you might find a site where you can download it.

Wow, I haven't used Pascal since '90-91. C++ or Java are the languages you should be learning with, since Pascal is pretty much a niche language now (Delphi users). You might check the publication date on the book too, to see how dated it is.

Borland Delphi is OO Pascal and it's a very good RAD environment, I found it much easier to use than anything from MS. Pascal isn't a bad language, but something like C++ (Borland C++ Builder rocks too) would probably give more immediate results.

Just remember to learn the fundamentals of programming and not 1 specific language, you can easily learn the syntax of any language.
