I just put a tuniq tower in my gigabyte p35c-dsr board. The fan runs extremely quiet! Too Quiet! I did check and it is running :) When i change the fan speed (rear knob) I don't hear a difference. Are these things that quite?

In the Bios I get 382 rpm (on low) and 1000 rpm (on high). I thought the tuniq rpm went 1000 to 2000 rpm.

Is there another way to tell the correct rpms?
Or is there something else going on?

On max speed the Tuniq should be pretty loud. It's likely your board is mistakenly reducing the fan speed as part of its own noise/cooling optimization system. Go in to the BIOS, under PC Health Status there should be an option to turn this off.

yep, you will need to disable to motherboard control of the CPU fan from inside BIOS. I had a similar problem. I had to disable a couple of settings in the PC Health (I think) menu of the BIOS for my Gigabyte P35-DS3R
