Tuniq Tower 120 vs Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro 92mm

Okay, my opinion...

Yes, a Tuniq is worth twice the price! Actually they're priceless, IMHO.

No, it isn't better to get the Freezer Pro, unless you pride yourself on making chicken salad outta chicken sh!t...

If you're poor, have no self-respect, don't care what others think, have terminal cancer or whatever get the Freezer.

Otherwise, be a man and get a Tuniq Tower 120!

Whoa-ohh-ohh-ohh! Power tool, baby! Braggin' rights too... 😀

No. There is no benefit to having the Tuniq Tower other than bragging rights. Whether or not that's worth twice the price for that extra inch in e-penis is up to you.

That's enough for me!

Then again, I'm talking to a guy that lists his rig in every post... 😀

No braggin' going on here, yes?

Is it just better to get the Freezer Pro for O/C E6420?

I just used a Freezer Pro for a 6400 "mild OC" and it sucks. Brand new Lian Li PC7B case with 120 intake and 120 exhaust... Temps are mid 40s idle and mid 60s Orthos load!! This is with 1.375 Vcore and 2500 on the chip.

I will try remounting this thing, but if that doesn't work, I am going to have to buy something better. I am building this machine for my cousin, and I actually like him, so not going to give him something that would overheat!!

I have a Freezer 64 Pro on a X2 3800 overclocked from 2GHz to 2.6 Ghz. Initially I wasn't too satisfied with it. I checked the heat sink and found it was faily concave. I lapped the heatsink and the heat spreader on the cpu and knocked the temps down about 8-10 C under load.

I'm using a Tuniq Tower 120 on a 3.4GHz Intel P4 Extreme Edition "mild OC" and it rocks!

It's benchmark stable @ 3825MHz -=- temps are roughly 32C/42C idling & loaded...

It'll boot in Windows @ 3985MHz -=- temps 40C/50C -=- but balks when running orthos, et cetera. 😉

To me, the choice is obvious... 😀
