Tuniq Tower 120 Heat Pipes...

So I just got my Tuniq 120 for my C2D. Have one question though. I just looked at the heat pipes and noticed something that concerned me. The heat pipes on the Tuniq 120 are 3 copper tubes. that start in the heatsink come down attach to the base and then go back into heat sink. Ok so here is the questions. The end of the tubes start at the very top and then only go 3/4 of the way back into the heat sink. Is this normal? or should I RMA my tuniq and get another one?
